This post has been taken down at the request of paranoia and roommate retaliation. Sorry.

To the three people that actually read this, sorry I haven't been updating lately. It's not that things haven't been happening. They have. I went to back to Michigan for a weekend. I went to New York for the next. I had a five day Memorial Day weekend. That was cool. Totally squandered, but cool. Have been enjoying the new Eminem, Del the Funky Homosapien, Funkstörung and Sleater-Kinney. Also caught a matinee of Mission Impossible. Thumbs up to all of those. Perhaps, more to come about my misadventures.

Much like others of late, I'm in a quandry about this whole weblog thing. Not that weblogs are bad, but it's not what I wanted the some and substance of my website to be. My idea was more of an online zine and to provide an outlet for others to showcase their talents. It's coming together, but not at the speed I would like. Soon utbod.com will be featuring Baltimore's Stain and Voke of the In The Dream crew and I'm working on New Haven's Hot Rod Circuit. With those features, hopefully a new layout will manifest. Actually, a new layout would be aces as would be some other things for the site. I'll see what I can do.

Great personality. Smart. Beautiful brown eyes. Great smile. No chance in hell. *sigh* Story of my life.

Today, is Heather's last day at David's.

Kerroo has been indulging me in email. That's a good thing. Email from somewhat strangers is always interesting.

Back from Javier's party at John Parrot's. A good time was had by all. Ed enjoyed some pizza. ; ) Heather and I collaborated on some art. Heather, as always, rocks.

Butt sex!? Does anyone else think that Ben Brown's life resembles a sitcom more and more each day? It's perfect actually. I mean doesn't this picture remind you of what could be an updated version of Bosom Buddies with Ben and Ev? You know the part just before they walk through the sprinklers? But who would do an updated theme song? Who would be Kip? Who would be Henry? Hmm...let me know if you come up with something.

Heather gave her two weeks at David's. I guess she just couldn't stand me sitting at the counter bugging her any longer. : (

Tried Fly Swat today. Kind of a neat app.

Leslie as a blonde? At least she doesn't pick her nose.

So, I went ahead and did it. I saw Gladiator last night. Ed had seen it on opening night with Danny. Needless to say that Ed loved it. And why wouldn't he? Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix is the same film? C'mon. Anyway, I had no expectation going into it. It was good. Not amazing, but good. The CG definitely looked better in the actual film than it did in the trailer for it. My favorite part was in the beginning when Caesar Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harrid) lets Maximus (Russell Crowe) know that he wants him to rule Rome. Maximus declines. Marcus Aurelius lets Maximus know that his unwillingness to be emporer, the fact that he is not a politician and that he is a noble man are his qualifications. Joaquin Phoenix's character, Commodus, is a freak.

I saw the trailer for the new Shaft movie starring Samuel L. Jackson. I thought it was cool and ridiculous at the same time.

Went through a lot of mixed emotions this past weekend about certain people. Yeah, I know that's cryptic as hell, but that's all I'm going to say about it now.

Feeling my typical kind of blah today. Those who know, well...know.

Elliott Smith is in DC at the 9:30 tonight. Unfortunately I am not. *sigh*

I had a great AIM session with Lila-Vrndavana yesterday. She rocks.

Not feeling all that smart today either. What else is new, right?

Jerry's latest.

Dubbed "The Meals on Wheels of Steel Tour," Ninja Tune artists Kid Koala and Amon Tobin are doing their thing across North America. Kid Koala was amazing last night. As he addressed the crowd in his laid back, joking manner, he mentioned how just prior to coming to the States he was in France and while on the train someone stole his records. "Upon realizing none of the records had any market value, they ditched them and I found them on the side of the road. I've been playing crap for years. Everyone knows that." He started his set using four decks. The kid is crazy. And he doesn't use headphones! That's crazy. It was great to see him actually do things live that you hear on his record and have no idea how he does it. It was really a treat. He brought out his band Bullfrog for about three or four songs and they were great. Joanna Peters, the percusionist, had a great run on their last song. Kid Koala also introduced DJ P Love. P Love is the man. P Love was doing some crazy beat juggling. Kid Koala was on the one's and two's and P Love was on the three's and four's. On one song they did with Bullfrog, Kid Koala describe it as P Love being on the bass and Kid himself was on the treble. The best part of the night was seeing how much fun they were having. I think I can honestly say that Kid Koala and company had more fun than the crowd. It was great seeing Kid and P Love exchanging smiles and looks during their turns on the decks. This is refreshing especially after seeing so many djs and turntablists with "holier than thou" attitudes that think they are doing you a favor. It was all love last night.

Amon Tobin was there, too, promoting his new record which I forget the name of right now. Tobin was quite reserved compared to the frenetic energy of Kid Koala and company. He started off his set with finely layered drum sounds and uping the tempo a bit into some of his usual deep and dark jungle before I decided I was really starting to dog it and went home. I kind of regret not staying for his whole set, but what could I do? I was tired. From what little I saw of Amon Tobin, I was pleased.

Quote of the night: "I'm going to start off by playing records incorrectly." - Kid Koala

My Wu name is "Sweaty Butcher." My initiated Wu name is "Inscrutable Drama Queen" or "Optimistic Lyricist" depending on how you want to go about the first name-last name thing. Ed got the much cooler "Ultra-Chronic Monstah." Or he's "Auxillary Priest" if you use Edward. (via kerroo)

It was supposed to be a really miserable day. Upstate New York was supposed to be rain, rain and more rain. Friday was gloomy and overcast.

It wasn’t even close. It was beautiful, simply beautiful.
